ICT & Pedagogy

Digital Learning Portfolios are collections of student work that represent the learner, demonstrate evidence of the student's efforts, progress and achievements and illustrate an individual learning journey.

ACEP's program introduces teachers to Digital Portfolios and clarifies the purpose of developing digital portfolios to ensure successful implementation at a school level.

The program encompasses the following:
  • How best to make Digital Portfolios relevant and connected to the curriculum
  • Choosing appropriate focus areas and learning indicators.
  •  Roles and responsibilities of the student
  • Technical considerations and logistics for schools
  • Classroom management strategies and lesson and assessment ideas
  •  How Digital Portfolios can assist with VELS implementation and DEECD assessment and reporting requirements.

ACEP develops teacher resource material for Digital Portfolios in partnership with the e-learning unit of Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD).  Copies of these resources can be accessed by contacting ACEP.
