Peer Observation

Personalised professional learning and collaborative practice come together when effective peer observation programs are supported in schools. Each school context and culture influences the choice of an appropriate approach to peer observation.

The ACEP Team works with individual schools and their leadership teams, using a partnership model, to ensure that the informed decisions are made about the training of staff, pairing methods, logistics, timing and ways to develop trust in the process. ACEP works with schools to develop a customised approach to introducing peer observation as a strategy for improving practice and addressing and tracking specific student learning needs.

Providing a supportive environment for staff to express and examine their perceptions of peer observation is an important starting point. ACEP has a successful track record in this area.
